Lucian Plato and Greek Morals John Jay Chapman 9781494036911 Books
Lucian was reborn in 1931. I noticed that the title spelling of Lucian for the first edition in 1931 was Lucien, which is not right in my expectations or the book that was written by John Jay Chapman to point out that moderns have become more like Lucian, who wrote dialogues allowing the individual reader to see how poking fun at the urgency of realism for people who remain totally clueless as characters is satire. John Jay Chapman praised Lucian as the most entertaining and ironic Greek writer in the ancient world, who never mentioned Roman writers though he had memorized many great classics written in Greek. Lucian died working in the Imperial Treasury in Egypt a hundred years before Church Fathers became the official church of the Roman Empire and used Plato to turn Socrates into the fabulist and hierophant expressing the piety of Athens society in dialogues in which Plato used Socrates as a character trying to explain a theory of knowledge based on ideal virtues. The day does not exist when honest readers will forgive and forget what heresy became as an opportunity for bloody deeds by the dogmas that condemned Lucian and Bruno.
